About The Artist

Gracie Wright

Over the past five years, Wright’s practice has deepened into an instinctual and expressive exploration of the bond between the inner self & the natural world. Her work drifts between fluid abstraction and intricate natural forms, guided by an intuitive rhythm that echoes the land & sea. Through gentle symbolism and layered mark-making, she traces moments of stillness, transformation, and renewal, revealing the delicate interdependence between psyche & environment.

A graduate of RMIT University’s Bachelor of Fine Arts, Wright was encouraged to move beyond comfort and formality, refining a practice that is both thoughtful & instinctual. Drawn to the coast and bush, she finds quiet muse in the shifting light and textures of nature — each work a reflection on fragility, resilience, and transience.

Her work has been featured in numerous group exhibitions across Melbourne and Geelong, including artist-run galleries and local prizes that celebrate emerging and contemporary Australian art. These experiences have continued to shape her evolving visual language & her dialogue with place, memory, and perception.

Though her style continues to evolve, a steady undercurrent of transformation and impermanence weaves through her practice. Wright’s art serves as both meditation and mirror — a contemplative space where the landscapes within and around us gently converge.
